Those Five Questions

We need to be honest with ourselves that where we are “now” is not the end state of our journey. When we ask ourselves these five questions, and answer them honestly, we gain a better understanding of what we value in our role, what we want from our employer, and what will make us truly satisfied at work. Give it a try!

  1. What is the “next” thing in your career?

  2. Why is this personally important to you? Not for the company, but for you.

  3. Now, think of a job that is 100% committed to that personally important reason. For example, if you wanted to make an impact, you could work with Doctors Without Borders and literally save lives. Why aren’t you doing that?

  4. What is one thing you can start doing to today to get to #1?

  5. Who is one person you can make a part of your journey towards this?
